Strategic, united prayer has been at the foundation of every great awakening, revival, missions or church-based justice movement throughout history.
As we long to see transformation in the Portland / Vancouver region, the desire of the PrayerPDX team is to help establish rhythms of more prayer for individuals, churches and the city. |

The Prayer Course is an 8 week journey through the Lord’s Prayer, created by 24-7 Prayer.
This free course includes teaching by Pete Greig, resources for discussion leaders and suggestions for practice. It has proven to be effective in raising the level of prayer in churches, neighborhoods and cities across the globe. Many Portland area churches and small groups are launching this course in October of 2019 and again in January of 2020.

America Prays is uniting and equipping over 40,000 churches to pray for spiritual awakening in the United States. Let’s help cover the Portland / Vancouver metroplex in prayer.
About Us
PrayerPDX is a movement in the Greater Portland area with the simple goal to encourage churches, ministries and believers of every age and background into “More Prayer”. So often we feel guilty that we don’t pray enough. It’s not about how much prayer is enough. It’s about “More Prayer is better than less prayer,” which releases in each believer fresh hope, renewed vision and an ability to freely ask of the Lord, “Teach me to pray.”
Prayer moves the hand of God and more prayer brings about more movement as people first draw closer to God and then release the power of God into an area they live. We want to encourage, equip, inspire and release more prayer in our city and beyond in the coming years. The combined impact of “more prayer” in all of our lives and in all of our churches will begin a renewal and revival in our cities!
So let’s all start today by doing “more prayer” together!
Move daily in both forms of prayer: devotional or communion prayer, our most intimate and revealing moments with God; and warfare or intercessory prayer, where we partner with the Holy Spirit to pray prayers that move mountains, release signs and wonders, change circumstances, alter destinies and bring revival.
Be creative in the ways you can do “more prayer” and continually support others around you. Take time to stop as Mary did and sit at Jesus’ feet. Listen to Him speak, and then obey His prompting to step out in faith, declaring His will to be done on the earth as it is in Heaven.
More Prayer will change our lives and our communities forever!
